2022/23 Flu searches and protocols

Primary Care IT have launched our flu searches and protocols. If you missed the webinar yesterday, you can watch it here.

For areas where we have access to an enterprise search and report unit, these searches have been added to the Primary Care IT folder, ready to be copied across. Instructions on how to do this are available here.

Alternatively, the searches and protocols can be downloaded from our website or you can request install here.

Additional searches to Meds Management

Primary Care IT are pleased to announce that we have added additional searches to our Meds Management folder. These have been developed in response to a customer request where the user wanted to identify patients prior to an external visit by specialist nurses to look at use of catheters, appliances, and associated products. You can read more about the searches here. For areas where we have access to an enterprise search and report unit, these searches have been added to the Primary Care IT folder, ready to be copied across. Instructions on how to do this are available here. Alternatively, the searches can be downloaded from our website in the Subscriber Hub. If you are not yet registered with the website, see our support article for details of how to do this, or contact PCIT Support.

CVD-01

We have become aware of a new issue relating to the CVD-01 indicator. It is no longer possible to select the code ‘Change of medication’, which may prevent some patients from meeting the criteria for inclusion. The other 5 methods of following up a raised blood pressure are still available to use. We are waiting to hear back from EMIS, and have made NHS Digital aware.
