#70 PCIT Gems: EPS l KFRE launch

Did you know you can re-run the “getting the EPS2 number” from a few years ago: 

1. Right click on the drug, click Drug History

      2. Expand the line featuring the text “Cancel issue” – do not click Cancel issue

      Click view

      3. Right click on the long EPS Number

      4. Click Copy EPS Identifier

      5. Paste it into your SMS template

      The Kidney Failure Risk Equation is advised to be used by NICE. PCIT subscribers will now be able to perform this calculation easily within EMIS/TPP with an MHRA registered calculator.

      EMIS Web crashing?

      We are sure you’ve seen the email from EMIS about issues with their system. Some of our users have already been reporting issues with EMIS crashing when trying to launch templates. As you can see this is a known issue with EMIS which has been acknowledged and is being actioned. Primary Care IT are doing everything we can to look for workarounds or alternative ways of using the system to try to mitigate the impact. We have started the rollout of 2021/22 OneResults and OneMonitoring which will give practices access to everything QOF related. In the meantime, we suggest that every time an issue is encountered you report this to EMIS so that they understand the impact this is having. You can do this through EMIS Now: https://www.emisnow.com/csm

      We’re really pleased that the recent EMIS update seems to have fixed the issues that some users were experiencing with launching templates including our OneTemplate. This should mean that all users can now load this without any issues. We’ve been busy in the background creating a very much slimmed down version of the template, so if anyone is still having issues then please drop us a support ticket https://support.primarycareit.co.uk/portal/en-gb/newticket and we can install this for you.
