COVID Spring booster coding issue
For this campaign the codesets specified by the NHS for immunosuppression do not correlate completely with the Green book. Specifically, within the codesets SPLENIC_COD and IMATRISK1_COD there are a number conditions listed which could but will not for certain mean the patient has splenic failure. So if taken at face value you would recall all patients with coeliac disease who when they attended wouldn’t be eligible because they don’t fulfil the green book criteria. Because of this PCIT have updated our COVID vaccine searches (folder 05) to separate out patients affected by these codes so that they can be reviewed to see if you wish to recall them for vaccination or not (they may have more than one reason for being identified as needing vaccination).
